She was a lyricist sometimes credited as Alice S. Grainger who worked mainly with the composer and arranger Wilbur Chenoweth.
Some of the songs and carols she wrote lyrics for include “The Sun Would Shine Again”, “Love Light”, “My Lotus Bloom (Chinese Love Song) and the Christmas carol “Noel, Noel, Bells are Ringing“.
