Bassist who appeared on the 1970s albums Smile for Me: A Symphonic Tribute to Brian Wilson, The Point!, a soundtrack album to an animated TV special, with music composed by Harry Nilsson, and Frank Sinatra’s boxed set, Trilogy.
In the era of CDs, there were other opportunities to hear Stephens’ bass stylings, on Chad & Jeremy’s ambitious project, The Ark, The Movie Album: As Time Goes By of Neil Diamond , Larry Murray’s Sweet Country Suite, and the soundtrack to Matrix Revolutions. Stephens served as a contractor on the albums Bill Haley & Friends, Vol. 3, and The Platters’ Four Platters and One Lovely Dish.
He was a silver contributor to the Verdugo Young Musicians’ Association, in Tujunga, California.
